Comments: My husband two children and I enjoyed our relaxing winery tour with Lance. Visiting four wineries gave us a good sample of the regions wines. All good quality and generous tastings. Lance was very knowledgeable of the regions wine varieties and certainly made the tour interesting. We also really loved the scenery. The lunch was also a highlight and included some local specialties. Thank you for a great day!

Comments:	We were on our honeymoon in Queenstown and had booked the Queenstown Wine Tours Original from the internet while in singapore solely based on the comments and feedback given by others. When the day came, the pick up was on the dot our driver 'Phil' was a delight! lively, jovial and kept a good narrative all the way, knowledgeable in the wines plus the local scenery and the history !! It felt like a wine tour ++ :). Lunch was @ the Gibbston winery (purchased separately) highly recommend the assorted platter for two. The wineries were a good mix ranging from the large established to the quaint dream like (Waitiri Creek ). Must say it was an experience and one that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. A must do whilst in Queenstown” Reviewed 27 December 2012 NEW

We decided to do this as a last minute decision and I am really glad we did!

I am a big wine fan my partner not so much but he now has a better understanding of wine and has even said he would share a bottle of New Zealand wine with me.

We were picked up by Lance (owner) from our accommodation and whilst on the way to the first of four wineries (all boutique)  he explained our itinerary for the day (we were a tour of 10).

first stop winery was Gibbston Valley, you could opt to have lunch here - we decided against it and got an extra glass of wine and headed for the cheesery where we shared a cheeseboard selected to go with our wine (would recommend this!).  before lunch though we had our tasting of four wines in the wine cave - a great experience and the overwhelming smell of wine as you enter the cave is fantastic. 

after lunch sew headed to Peregrine wines, one of the employees was getting married there on the day we were there s the whole place was deck out perfectly, we tasted a further 4/5 wines here, before moving intone to Waitiri creek (my favourite) where the tastings take place in as old church, we were greeted by Jason (and the marvellous smells of Christmas cakes being baked!) the managers who spent a long time explaining the 5 wines to us and answering our questions we the went onto our final tasting at Amisfield winery, where the sommelier took us to the wine cellar for a further five tastings, we got to try some sparkling wine here which was different to the other places.

We were then back on the bus for journeys back to Queenstown, we received a voucher for seem money off some Amisfield wine in one of the central Queenstown restaurants which we returned to a few days later to sample.

All in all a great half day out accompanied by commentary by Lance along the way who is obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about good wine!

"Heather & Lances Wine Trail - Excellent" Reviewed September 9, 2012 NEW

Theres only one rating for this tour by Heather and Lance of Queenstown Wine Trails - Excellent! On the weekend I did their tour for the 3rd or 4th time, and once again I can not fault it. The pace is relaxed enough to enjoy the best each vineyard has to offer and make some purchases, while getting to 4 vineyards in the afternoon. Plenty of tasting is included, and lots of knowledge from Lance was shared. Highly recommend this tour!

Loved it!” Reviewed May 31, 2012

I did this tour with a girlfriend of mine, and it was such a great way to spend the afternoon! Our guide, Brendan, was great. Very knowledgeable about the wines as well as the area. I felt that we really got to see a variety of wineries in the four he choose for us: from small owner operated to large commercial properties. Plus we got to try some cheese! We were very lucky as well with the group we had with us. We had such a great experience together we all ended up meeting up at Brazz later for a beer! Truly a great tour! Thanks!
